Nevada: Crash on Takeoff
Crash on a zero-wind forward launch at Jean Ridge, Nevada, in December 2009. Three months no flying due to foot injury; my mistake was to start my takeoff run just a few feet too low down the slope; a little higher and I would have cleared the rocky terrace just below the takeoff point.
